I have Derwent Graphite, Caran D’Ache Graphite and know Faber-Castell. Each company differs in finish.
Faber Castell 9000 pencils have a smoothness and slickness to them in a finished pieces. The are easily blended.
Overall this collection of FC drawing materials is fantastic and I would highly recommend it. It would last a lifetime if cared

This was worth every bit of the money paid. The wooden box solidly held all the charcoal- nothing broken. The display is so helpful in artistic development. I have tried to buy the different things seperately over the years, but it just gets messy. Having everything in one – means the ability to be creative is maximized.
I totally recommend this to all- I would even say, the value should be double of what I purchased.
